*Workshop locations will be available to you when you arrive.
Attendees will stay in the camp cabins. Please bring sleeping bags, blankets, (cabins are heated!), pillows, towels, and toiletries. A flashlight would be helpful too. Each cabin is equipped with a full bathroom and sleeps up to 12 people. There are bunk beds with mattresses but no bedding. (BRING YOUR OWN BEDDING & TOWELS, ETC.) Cabins will (of course) be split up according to gender. If you’d like to stay with someone in particular, please be sure to state the person’s name when you register.
Here are some ares where we’ll need a few extra hands:
Hospitality crew (4)
Workshop host (5)
Tear down/clean up crew (5)
Game night organizer (1)
If you’d like more information about any of these, see this page, call 865.522.3193.
BIBLE & PAPER & WATER BOTTLE
You’ll definitely want to bring your Bible. Try something new, perhaps, and bring your old-school paper Bible (as opposed to relying on your phone). We’ll have a notebook and pen for each attendee. Bring along a water bottle so that you stay nicely hydrated via the water fountains.
WHAT TO WEAR
Dress is business casual. Definitely bring comfortable clothing and shoes so that you can enjoy nature.
If you’re carpooling, arrange ahead of time to help your driver with the gas expense. If carpooling isn’t an option, talk with your local church about the possibility of providing you with a reimbursement for your gas expense. Due to extra expenses for CONNECT this year, ACF won’t be able to reimburse drivers for their mileage or gas receipts. If your ACF chapter already has funds through a local church and you want to use them for gas costs, you’re welcomed to do so.
